Cooper-Standard Holdings has completed the divestiture of its European rubber fluid transfer and specialty sealing business, as well as its Indian operations to Mutares SE & Co. KGaA. The transaction includes two manufacturing facilities in Poland, one manufacturing facility in each of Spain and Italy, and all of the Company's operations in India, excluding the Company's corporate IT development office located in Chennai. The divestiture of non-core operations will enable Cooper-Standard to improve profitability and focus resources in areas with greater potential for profitable growth.

Cooper Standard's Advanced Technology Group has announced three new agreements to jointly develop commercial applications of its proprietary Fortrex™ chemistry platform. Two agreements are with consumer goods companies and the other is with an industrial goods company. Six agreements in total have been signed in 2019. Fortrex™ is Cooper Standard's innovative chemistry platform used to create lightweight elastomeric materials that offer significant performance advantages over EPDM synthetic rubber, TPV and many other materials in terms of weight reduction, compression set, weathering and durability.

CooperStandard: Divesting Anti-Vibration Systems Business to Continental AG Link...
Cooper Standard have announced that they have reached an agreement regarding the divestiture of its anti-vibrations systems (AVS) business to Continental AG. The agreement includes a binding offer from Continental AG to purchase substantially all of Cooper Standard's anti-vibration business in France and its respective interest in the joint venture in India on the basis of which the parties will pursue signing of an agreement in the next few weeks, once works council consultations have taken place. Completion of the divestiture is subject to the approval of the respective antitrust authorities and the signature of the aforesaid agreement for the French business.

In order to localise mixing capabilities and support continued growth in Mexico, Cooper Standard have recently celebrated the groundbreaking of its new mixing facility in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The new facility, which represents an $11 million investment, supports the Company's mission to accelerate innovation while delivering world-class quality with speed and efficiency. It is expected that the facility will begin operations in early 2019 and ultimately employ about 100 employees at full capacity.

CooperStandard Automotive Inc announced it will consolidate its Goldsboro, N.C. facilities into one to improve its competitive position in North America and invest in the remaining location to bring it in line with world-class facilities that meet key metrics set forth by both the company and its customers. The company plans to consolidate manufacturing operations from its 207,000-square foot facility located at 280 Woodland Church Road into its 167,000-square foot facility located at 308 Fedelon Trail Road. Some of the business will also be moved to other Cooper Standard locations in North America. The transition will begin immediately and is slated for completion in late 2015 to early 2016. As a result of the consolidation, approximately 300 employees, including contract and some permanent workers, will be affected, with 400 employees remaining at the Fedelon Trail facility

Cooper-Standard Automotive Inc announced its intention to restructure its European manufacturing footprint based on current and anticipated market demands. The restructuring effort aims to further improve Cooper Standard's European capability by removing excess capacity, improving cost structure and shifting some production to its Eastern European facilities. Actions include consolidation of operations to improve efficiencies and closure or downsizing of certain facilities with high costs and unutilized capacity in Western Europe, including Germany and France. Cooper Standard expects to complete these restructuring activities by the end of 2017. The actions announced today are subject to consultation with employee works councils and other approvals.
